Enjoy nature
Surrounded by a privately-owned Garden of Eden, Knockvicar House is situated on the edge of the small Irish village of Knockvicar, in the direct vicinity of a large public nature reserve with numerous walking trails.
A world of your own
The spacious estate around Knockvicar House is full of surprises. Take a long walk and discover relics from the past, find your personal place of power or enjoy a picknick under the canopies of up to 360 years old trees.
The property comprises approx. 120,000 sqm of land, which mainly consists of pastures, but also includes about 18,000 sqm of mixed forest and 8,000 sqm of parkland.
Outdoor experience right on the dorstep
We also have enough space for playing, romping and leting off steam. Children can conquer the estate to their hearts’ content. Or how about a boat trip to our private island in Lough Key? On the lake, you can also cast you fishing line and take in the peace and quiet.
And if you want to roll up your sleeves up and lend a hand you are more than welcome to help us on the Alpaka farm. The animals, which are native to South America and known for their perfectly soft and high-quality wool, are being expertly bred and taken care of on our farm.
In harmony with nature
It is important to us that our guests can really experience nature. This also includes fresh farm produce available from the neighbouring organic farm.
Wildlife can also regularly be spotted in the well-protected woodlands that are part of the estate. If you’re lucky, you’ll see the flowkc of fallow deer that has been peacefully living in the private forests for decades.
